Cataract Operations Program
NEED
Indonesia has the highest rate of blindness in South East Asia, and 48% of blindness cases are due to cataracts. Cataract can be a symptom of diabetes. In the villages of Lam Asan and Lampineung alone,we aware of 18 cataract sufferers.
SCOPE
Chance International needs funding for 40 eye operations (cost is per eye) in the villages of the area.
COSTS
We would like to fund 20 (one eye) cataract operations for those most in need at a total cost of €4,300.00.
