Urgent Appeals Program

We urgently need funding to enable us to continue our Programs. All the money we raise goes directly to the charity's beneficiaries. No salaries or expenses are paid to administrators and only local salaries are paid to Staff in Indonesia.

Baby M. Nur, Sabang, Pulo Weh

Baby Nur's family are severely impoverished. At 4 months old, Baby Nur was taken to the local hospital and prescribed antibiotics for a respiratory condition. When there was no improvement, the family made the journey to the Banda Aceh General Hospital where tests revealed that the baby is suffering from a cerebral abscess. Two operations later, the cause is still unknown and so treatment unlikely to succeed. Further operations to remove the pus from the abscesses have been ruled out at the moment as they are reoccurring. Baby Nur is now one year old and suffers from epilepsy as a direct result of the abscesses, and has cerebral palsy. At present the family have to return to Banda Aceh every 3 months for check-ups. Baby Nur will need assistance for the rest of his life.

We need further funding to continue to assist with the transportation and medication costs, are in direct contact with the neurosurgeon and will be advised should there be the possibility for further treatment. If you wish to help Baby Nur, you can do so
